We are happy to celebrate IFSI's 25thanniversary. Over those 25 years, we have seen numerous changes in our organization, in the faces of the people we serve and in the sophistication of the professionals and staff that work for our clients. Our mission remains the same, caring for those in our society who need a bit of extra help. IFSI continues to exist to serve our clients who are challenged by the same significant problems that existed in 1979 - poverty, infectious diseases, behavioral and mental health issues, including substance abuse, access to healthcare and the transition of immigrants into this country. We are proud that we have stretched our reach throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Some of our projects have impacted nationally and, of course, our core area, the Philadelphia Metropolitan area. We would, of course, prefer to be reporting that we have solved all of the problems of our clients, but that is not to be the case. In the future, look to our agency to continue to be a leader in quality and innovative programs to serve a wider population that is equally if not more in need of our help. Housing programs, workforce development, entrepreneurship, music and performing arts and education will all demonstrate the leadership qualities of our staff and Board members. Over the years, there has been a change in the faces of our Board of Directors, but not their dedication, which continues to be as strong as ever. I am proud to say that both Richard F. Smith and Miriam H. Evans, who have served on our Board for a combined total of 42 years, still continue to serve actively and participate in IFSI's activities. Thank you again to all our funding sources and our supporters for making our 25 years so rewarding.
