Intercultural provides a wide range of Outpatient Mental Health Services at the Intercultural Behavioral Health Center West facility (IBHC-West). This site is located at 4254 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, in the University City District of Philadelphia. Using effective, research-based interventions the professional staff at IBHC-West can handle the most difficult behaviors while managing the individual needs of every consumer. Through individualized treatment planning, consumers address existential factors and achieve social and emotional stability. What matters most here at IBHC-West is that the consumer quickly gets back to the routine of living out their productive lives.

IBHC - West holds a current Certificate of Compliance from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare- Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and is credentialed by the City of Philadelphia's Community Behavioral Health (CBH) and Magellan Behavioral Health Services in Delaware County.

Monday - Thursday (9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
Friday (9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.)

In order to receive services, you must be Medicaid eligible; or have other insurance which covers behavioral health services; or possess the ability to pay a fee for service.

Outpatient Clinic - West

Intercultural's licensed behavioral health clinic provides a variety of comprehensive treatment choices to a diverse consumer population. After an initial assessment, individuals and families immediately begin working on treatment goals with their therapist. They are guided through psycho-education and medication management if necessary. Group therapies are also provided as consumers gain to benefit from sharing their experiences with their peers.

The Outpatient Clinic offers a wide range of mental health service for children, adolescents and adults that includes:

• Psychological Testing
• Individual Therapy

• Group Therapy

Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS)

Intercultural's Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS) program provides wraparound and School Therapeutic services (STS) to assist children and adolescents diagnosed with severe emotional and/or behavioral disorders within the home, school and community settings.

Wraparound Program:

Wraparound services are considered intense behavior health services and are delivered by a triad of professionals working as a team to assist parents, teachers and other socialization agents to solve behavioral problems of children and adolescents. The team consists of a Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC), Mobile Therapists (MT), and Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS), who are all educated and trained to provide specific behavioral interventions.

School Therapeutic Services (STS):

School Therapeutic Services are targeted for children and adolescents at risk for out of school placement. Usually these children have problems with truancy, dropping out and/or experiencing poor school adjustment. This program is staffed by a Lead Clinician (LC), Group Mobile Therapist (GMT), Behavioral Health Workers (BHW), and currently serviced in 3 Philadelphia schools. These schools include: Mastery Charter School-Harrity; Heston Elementary; and Universal Vare Charter Middle School.
