Intercultural Family Services, Inc. periodically offers various paid and non-paid internships opportunities within various departments. The internship/volunteer program is designed to provide students and recent graduates with an opportunity to learn about human services and community-based health services areas of Intercultural Family Services, Inc. You are required to complete an Internship/Volunteer Application Addendum located at the Intercultural Main Office front receptionist desk before submitting your resume via email to [email protected]. Also, your email is required to include “Internship” in the email subject line.

 

Eligibility: To be eligible for an internship opportunity, a candidate must be a high school student, an undergraduate student and/or a graduate student. To be eligible for an intern opportunity, a candidate must possess a specific skill set or talent needed within the organization (e.g. fluency in a language other in English, knowledge of instruments, clerical experience, etc.)

 

General Information: Interns are expected to participate in an 8 to 12 week internship period. Internships are offered during the Summer, Fall and Winter/Spring semesters.  Interns must have an affiliation agreement on file between the Intercultural Family Services, Inc. and the intern’s college/university. All interns/volunteers are subject to the applicable Intercultural Family Services, Inc. employee rules, including its Employment Dispute Resolution Policy and obtaining all required background clearances.

 

Application Procedures: Candidates must complete an Internship/Volunteer Application Addendum form and submit it via email with their cover letter and resume.  Some internship positions require additional application items, such as a writing sample. All application items must be submitted as a complete package.
